Subversive threads: the quilting and dyeing workshop with run home

Exhibited for Performa 19 Biennial, honoring the Bauhaus Centennial

As part of Performa 19, artists Kiva Motnyk and Susan Cianciolo, co-founders of the RUN HOME collective, hosted Subversive Threads: The Quilting and Dyeing Workshop With RUN HOME at the official Performa 19 Hub, located in Jeffrey Deitch's Wooster Street gallery space. This immersive, educational workshop invited the public to engage with natural plant dyes, raw textiles, and collaborative patchwork quilting practices. Reviving the "learning by doing" pedagogical philosophy that was central to the historic Bauhaus movement.
